Softball Game Preview: Mohave Accelerated Patriots vs. Tombstone Yellow Jackets

The Mohave Accelerated Patriots will challenge the Tombstone Yellow Jackets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mohave Accelerated will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Mohave Accelerated's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Wickenburg 16-0. Considering the Patriots have won 21 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tombstone was able to grind out a solid win over Santa Cruz Valley on Saturday, taking the game 9-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

The team relied heavily on Brianna True, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Liliana Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mohave Accelerated pushed their record up to 26-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tombstone, their victory bumped their record up to 15-13.

Mohave Accelerated came out on top in a nail-biter against Tombstone when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
