Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Costa Mesa's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Costa Mesa extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Leilani Quero. The Costa Mesa Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 50-36 victory over the Ocean View Seahawks on Tuesday thanks in part to Quero, who posted 22 points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Myah Martinez was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals. Martinez is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Costa Mesa has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Ocean View, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Costa Mesa will face off against Westminster at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean View, they will challenge Garden Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ocean View is facing Garden Grove at the right time seeing as Garden Grove is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
