Soccer Recap: Valencia Has No Trouble Against Castaic

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Valencia brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against the Castaic Coyotes on Saturday as the Valencia Vikings made off with a 5-0 victory. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Coyotes are ranked 1098th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valencia hit Castaic with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Max Jolley (2), Paolo Salmeron, Diego Jovel, and Lukas Kramer.

Valencia now has a winning record of 6-5-3. As for Castaic, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia will face off against Golden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valencia is facing Golden Valley at the right time seeing as Golden Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Castaic, they will square off against Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
