Softball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact King's Academy can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Florida Christian Patriots on Wednesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King's Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiersten Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Florida Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florida Christian, they will face off against John Carroll Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
