Baseball Game Preview: Celina Bulldogs vs. Minster Wildcats

Celina hasn't had much luck against Minster recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Celina's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.

On Monday, Celina made easy work of Lima Central Catholic and carried off a 14-4 win.

The team relied heavily on Nick Steinbrunner, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Celina: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chance Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Minster suffered their biggest defeat since May 22, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Memorial, falling 8-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Celina's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Minster, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

Celina couldn't quite get it done against Minster in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as they fell 6-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
