Basketball Game Preview: McLouth Bulldogs vs. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones

The McLouth Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones on Friday. McLouth is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

McLouth came up short against Jefferson County North on Wednesday, falling 46-26. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Chargers are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside [Wathena/Elwood]). They secured a 47-41 W over Atchison County on Tuesday.

McLouth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

McLouth was taken down by Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] 76-12 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
