Volleyball Recap: Gretna Comes Up Short

Gretna lost against Skutt Catholic back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gretna Dragons came up short against the Skutt Catholic SkyHawks, falling 3-0. Elle Heckenlively paced Gretna's offense, picking up 15 kills. Heckenlively got some help from Maggie Miller and her 21 assists. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Meghan Anderson was nothing short of spectacular for Skutt Catholic: she had seven digs and 44 assists. Anderson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Gretna moved to 24-17 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Skutt Catholic, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 29-9.

As of now, neither Gretna nor Skutt Catholic have any future games scheduled.
