Southview waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 71-18 win over the Woodward Polar Bears. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Southview pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Woodward, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Southview Cougars challenge the Bowling Green Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodward, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monclova Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th.
