After a string of four wins, Taft's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Lane Tech Champions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Champions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on May 6th.

Taft's offense was headlined by Nicolas Pasala and Nathan Vancil, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ruel Ramirez and his 13 assists.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Lane Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Addison Trail on the 26th. As for Lane Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Intrinsic on the 27th.
