Football Game Preview: West Allegheny Indians vs. Aliquippa Quips + How To Watch

West Allegheny is 0-3 against Aliquippa since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Quips at 7:00 p.m. West Allegheny will be strutting in after a win while Aliquippa will be coming in after a defeat.

West Allegheny is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Ambridge, posting a 70-0 victory. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bridgers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

West Allegheny's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Donovan O'Connor, who threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave O'Connor a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). West Allegheny's leading receiver Teagan Tomei was O'Connor's top target yet again, picking up 63 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Allegheny was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tomei, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Aliquippa was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 18-12 to New Castle.

West Allegheny's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Aliquippa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
