Miramonte took a 25-point defeat the last time they faced off against Northgate, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Matadors slipped by the Broncos 57-56 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Matadors have posted since December 31, 2025.

Northgate's loss came despite strong showings from Marko Djurdjic and Rufus Lee. Djurdjic went 9-for-19 on his way to 23 points and five boards, while Lee shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and four steals. Dax Gordon was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

Miramonte has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Northgate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
