Soccer Game Preview: Orange vs. Southern Alamance

Orange hasn't had much luck against Southern Alamance recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Orange is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

On Wednesday, Orange beat Cedar Ridge 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Orange.

Caroline Cathey and Sullivan Gaddy scored all four of Orange's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Meanwhile, Southern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Cedar Ridge. That's two games in a row now that Southern Alamance have lost by just one goal.

Southern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Orange, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Everything went Orange's way against Southern Alamance in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Orange made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
