Basketball Recap: Montezuma Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Montezuma won the last time they faced English Valleys and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Montezuma Braves blew past the English Valleys Bears 61-40. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Montezuma has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for English Valleys, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Montezuma will host Iowa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Montezuma is facing Iowa Valley at the right time seeing as Iowa Valley is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for English Valleys, they will head out on the road to square off against North Mahaska at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Mahaska will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something English Valleys surely won't give up without a fight.
