Poultney came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 54-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-46 last Wednesday.

Poultney has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Poultney has already played their next matchup (against Mill River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to square off against Brattleboro at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
