Baseball Game Preview: Grayslake North Knights vs. Round Lake Panthers

For the second straight game, Grayslake North will face off against Round Lake. The Knights will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m.

Grayslake North is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Round Lake on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

For Round Lake's part, Antonio Gomez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Javier Rolon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Round Lake's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Grayslake North, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 3-18.
