Baseball Recap: Deltona Comes Up Short

Deltona came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Tayvon Thomson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Deltona dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Flagler Palm Coast, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deltona will challenge Pine Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pine Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Deltona's hitters will have their work cut out for them. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Flagler Palm Coast is facing DeLand at the right time seeing as DeLand is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
