Basketball Recap: New Bloomfield Comes Up Short

New Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-8 loss at the hands of the South Callaway Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

New Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Callaway, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the New Bloomfield Wildcats take on the Prairie Home Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. New Bloomfield is facing Prairie Home at the right time seeing as Prairie Home is stuck on a three-game losing streak. South Callaway has already played their next game (against Fulton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
