Volleyball Recap: Glenville-Emmons Comes Up Short

Glenville-Emmons lost against Southland back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolverines came up short against the Rebels, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-11.

Sophie Bottelson paced Glenville-Emmons' offense, picking up six kills. Bottelson were helped by Claire Bottelson and Akaylah Flatness, who contributed four assists each. Sophie and Claire didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Ava Payne had a dynamite game For Southland., getting 22 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Payne has posted since back in October of 2024.

Glenville-Emmons' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Southland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Glenville-Emmons has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against LeRoy-Ostrander on the 16th. As for Southland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Grand Meadow on the 16th.
