Bullard waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Athens Hornets. It was an even better day for Mollie Carlile as she scored three goals for her team.

Bullard used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Athens. And. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Niyah Gee put up one assist, while she scored three goals.

Bullard pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four games. As for Athens, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Bullard and Athens should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bullard will face off against Cumberland Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 593 places (150 vs. 743). Similarly, Athens (ranked 255th) will meet Brownsboro (ranked 565th) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
