Preview: Redwater Dragons vs. Atlanta Rabbits
Redwater is 0-10 against Atlanta since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redwater Dragons will be home for the holidays to greet the Atlanta Rabbits at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Redwater has not done well against Pleasant Grove recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Redwater made off with a 60-59 victory over Pleasant Grove. The win made it back-to-back wins for Redwater.
Redwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyris Crowell, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crowell has scored at least 25% of Redwater's points. Marquez Jones was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Atlanta has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 24 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 87-35 win over Waskom at home. The win was nothing new for Atlanta as they're now sitting on three straight.
Redwater has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season. As for Atlanta, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Redwater came up short against Atlanta in their previous meeting on December 1st, falling 55-45. Can Redwater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
