Basketball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Has No Trouble Against Colome

Sunshine Bible Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down the Colome Cowboys 34-16. That looming 34-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Crusaders yet this season.

Sunshine Bible Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Hinman, who almost dropped a triple-double with ten points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. Hinman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciera Mickelson, who posted six points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

Sunshine Bible Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colome only four assists.

Despite the loss, Colome still got an impressive performance from Raelynn Kingsley, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine blocks.

Sunshine Bible Academy's record now sits at 4-13. As for Colome, their loss was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-18.

Sunshine Bible Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-25 defeat against North Central on the 21st. As for Colome, they will challenge Kimball/White Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Colome is facing Kimball/White Lake at the right time seeing as Kimball/White Lake is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
