Softball Recap: Marinette Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marinette waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Oconto Falls Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Marines: when they faced off against the Panthers back in April, they had to take a 14-4 defeat.

Marinette's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Oconto Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marinette will host Fox Valley Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Foxes will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Marines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oconto Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clintonville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
