On Tuesday, Clovis was able to grind out a solid victory over Roswell, taking the game 54-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clovis.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clovis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zarai Lewis, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Roche, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Carlsbad faced Hobbs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Carlsbad had to suffer through a rough 63-26 loss at the hands of Hobbs. Carlsbad has not had much luck with Hobbs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Clovis' win bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Carlsbad, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.
