A feisty cat fight will be fought as Swansea Tigers face off against Edisto Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Swansea is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

Swansea is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fox Creek just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-4 to the Predators.

Swansea got a good showing from Alex McFarland, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. McFarland has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jacob Hair was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Edisto's offense. They fell just short of Barnwell by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Edisto's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Swansea, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
