Cooper City is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 89-48 victory over Nova.

Meanwhile, Western faced Cardinal Gibbons in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Western took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cardinal Gibbons. The Wildcats have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Cooper City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Western, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-5.

Cooper City couldn't quite finish off Western in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 65-63. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Western's Maddox Fowles, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards.
