Basketball Recap: Queensbury Comes Up Short

Queensbury lost against Glens Falls back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Queensbury Spartans were dealt a 99-45 defeat at the hands of the Glens Falls Black Bears. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-17.

Loss or not, Queensbury got some senior leadership from Chase Baker and Zavry Ward. Baker posted 12 points, while Ward earned eight points. Baker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Queensbury has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Glens Falls, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Queensbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glens Falls, they will welcome South Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glens Falls is on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), South Glens Falls a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
