Volleyball Recap: Greeley Central Wildcats vs. Centaurus Warriors

After flying high against James Irwin last Saturday, Greeley Central came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Centaurus Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Greeley Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Centaurus work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 27-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Kreed Greiner paced Greeley Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Greiner got some help from Jonathan Chumacero and his 23 assists. Finally, Rowan Keller kept Greeley Central's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Greeley Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Centaurus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
