Basketball Recap: Riverside Triumphs

If Ione wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Riverside, they should've done a better job of containing Justien Tido. The Riverside Pirates walked away with a 38-29 victory over the Ione Cardinals on Saturday thanks in part to Tido, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Tido is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The win got Riverside back to even at 3-3.

Riverside will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Grant Union at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ione does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
