The Killian Cougars will challenge the JC Bermudez Doral Thunder at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Killian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Riviera Prep get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sebastian Perez looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Julian Zeledon was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Killian: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Lucas Arcaute, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Killian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for JC Bermudez Doral, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Gulliver Prep 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunder have posted since March 12th.
Daniel Marquez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Diego Rivaflecha, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Gustavo Villaverde, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
JC Bermudez Doral now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Killian, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Killian came out on top in a nail-biter against JC Bermudez Doral in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
