Football Recap: Patrician Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Bessemer Academy

Patrician Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Bessemer Academy Rebels, posting a 46-6 win. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Patrician Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Remington Faile, who rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Another rusher making a difference was Ethan Carr, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of TDs.

Patrician Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carr and Maddox Atcheson.

Coming up, Patrician Academy will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Clarke Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bessemer Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Monroe Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
