Cheshire Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Suffield Academy since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cats will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 1:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Cheshire Academy's win against Hamden Hall Country Day wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hornets 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Cats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Suffield Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Miss Porter's a 3-0 shutout.

Cheshire Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Suffield Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Cheshire Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Suffield Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Cats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
