The Fairview Knights will square off against the Legacy Lightning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fairview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Fairview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 14-9 victory over Niwot on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Oliver Peterson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fairview is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jackson Wier was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaac Waymire, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Fairview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Legacy entered their tilt with Monarch on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They skirted past the Coyotes 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lightning have posted since May 11, 2024.
Legacy's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Sanchez, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Legacy pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
