Basketball Recap: Welsh Comes Up Short

Welsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 64-50 to the Lake Arthur Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-51 back in January.

Welsh's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Lake Arthur, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-20 record this season.

Looking ahead, Welsh will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Edmund at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Arthur, they will head out to take on Lafayette Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
