Soccer Recap: Milken Comes Up Short

Milken was the 2-1 winner over Oakwood when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Owls by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Milken couldn't quite close it out.

This is the second loss in a row for Milken and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Oakwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Milken will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on de Toledo at 4:15 p.m. on January 8, 2026. De Toledo's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Milken's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Oakwood, they will head out to square off against Hollywood at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
