Basketball Game Preview: Harmony Area Owls vs. Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Harmony Area will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Harmony Area will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Harmony Area earned a 50-41 victory over Blacklick Valley.

Meanwhile, Moshannon Valley hadn't done well against West Branch recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Black Knights/Damsels simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 78-50. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Black Knights/Damsels had established a 26-point advantage.

Moshannon Valley's win came from a few key players Harmony Area will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Mills, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. What's more, he also posted a 54% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Troy Canner, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Moshannon Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games dating back to last season.

Harmony Area's record is now 3-1. As for Moshannon Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Harmony Area suffered a grim 51-31 defeat to Moshannon Valley when the teams last played back in January. Can the Owls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
