Basketball Game Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Troy Warriors

Fullerton hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Fullerton Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Troy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Fullerton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Fullerton needed a bit of extra time to put away Katella. They slipped by the Knights 49-48.

Meanwhile, Troy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brea Olinda. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Wildcats are ranked 206th).

Fullerton pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.5 points across that stretch. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Fullerton might still be hurting after the 54-29 loss they got from Troy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Troy's Kaylene Vivo, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards.
