The Jefferson Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Allen East Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Jefferson has given up an average of 37.4 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jefferson is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Lima Central Catholic on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Thunderbirds and fell 41-7. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Allen East). They claimed a resounding 56-6 victory over Spencerville. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Allen East's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
