Softball Recap: Stonebridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Hampton Christian Academy

StoneBridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday, falling 13-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

StoneBridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margo Jones, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases.

The win got Hampton Christian Academy back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. StoneBridge will challenge rival Greenbrier Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hampton Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Atlantic Shores Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
