Baseball Recap: El Monte Lions vs. Mountain View Vikings

El Monte extended their losing streak to 17 on Monday, dropping them down to 1-17. They came up short against the Mountain View Vikings, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

As for Mountain View, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-8 record. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Mountain View's part, ADAM ALCANTAR made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. ALCANTAR was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, ALEX MORENO was incredible, going 3-for-6 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. LUKE DAVILA was another key player, going 2-for-6 with two stolen bases and two runs.
