Soccer Recap: Sunlake Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Sunlake rose to the challenge on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Sunlake Seahawks who were credited with the win. The Sunlake Seahawks got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Oviedo Lions's six. The Seahawks' winning goal came courtesy of Taylor Vogt.

Sunlake's victory bumped their record up to 15-1-1. As for Oviedo, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-4-1 record.

Sunlake will square off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bloomingdale's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four contests. Oviedo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
