Softball Game Preview: Hamilton Yankees vs. Marymount Sailors

The Hamilton Yankees will head out on the road to challenge the Marymount Sailors at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hamilton's offense. They came up short against Los Angeles CES on Thursday, falling 8-0. The Yankees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamilton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marissa Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Marymount lost 11-1 to Archer School for Girls on Monday. The Sailors have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Marymount, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Hamilton took their victory against Marymount in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 13-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yankees since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
