Merced is 9-1 against Buhach Colony since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Merced Bears will venture away from home to take on the Buhach Colony Thunder at 4:00 p.m. Merced is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Merced's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over El Capitan. The match marked the Bears' most dominant win of the season so far.

Bree Pimentel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison Cabral, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Merced hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Buhach Colony lost 20-1 to Atwater on Thursday. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Merced's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Buhach Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Merced's way against Buhach Colony when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Merced made off with an 11-0 win. Does Merced have another victory up their sleeve, or will Buhach Colony turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
