Volleyball Game Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays

The Crofton Warriors will head out to challenge the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crofton's tournament run continued when they took on Creighton on Tuesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Pierce came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Guardian Angels Central Catholic, but Emma Cohee wouldn't allow it. Guardian Angels Central Catholic had just enough and edged out Pierce 3-2 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Cohee, who had 52 assists and six digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 24-26, 27-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Crofton, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.

Crofton skirted past Guardian Angels Central Catholic 3-2 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bluejays' Tia Strehle, who had 21 digs and two aces.
