Soccer Recap: Van Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cumberland Academy last Friday, Van came back down to earth. The Vandals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lindale Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, Van can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while Lindale are ranked 263rd).

Van has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-2 record this season. As for Lindale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-2.

As of now, neither Van nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
