Softball Recap: McMinn County Comes Up Short

McMinn County lost against Walker Valley back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cherokees came up short against the Mustangs, falling 12-1. The Cherokees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McMinn County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Walker Valley, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McMinn County will venture away from home to square off against Sale Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Walker Valley, they will head out to face off against Signal Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
