Basketball Recap: Webster Triumphs

Webster hadn't done well against McLain Science & Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Webster Warriors made off with a 45-44 victory over the McLain Science & Tech Titans. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 57-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Webster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terrance Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Franklin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hondo Avington, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Webster's record is now 7-9. As for McLain Science & Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster will face off against Pawhuska at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLain Science & Tech, they will take on Cascia Hall at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
