Baseball Recap: Casa Grande Takes a Loss

The Casa Grande Cougars came up short against the Douglas Bulldogs on Friday and fell 11-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matt Villa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Calaeus Perales, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-5. As for Douglas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1.

Casa Grande didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Vista Grande on the 25th. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-1 victory against Safford on the 24th.
