Softball Game Preview: Boonville Pioneers vs. Southridge Raiders

The Boonville Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Southridge Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Boonville will be strutting in after a win while Southridge will be coming in after a loss.

Boonville barely beat Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers blew past the Hatchets 17-0 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Pioneers' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Southridge came up short against Gibson Southern on Tuesday and fell 8-3. The Raiders have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Southridge now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Boonville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Boonville skirted past Southridge 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
