Softball Recap: Perkins Gets the Win

Perkins's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the South Central Trojans by a score of 8-5. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Quanise Rogers was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hannah Lonz was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Perkins' record is now 10-13. As for South Central, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Perkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mapleton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mounties' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
