Volleyball Recap: Spring Lake Park Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Cullen Larson and Hector Ly

Spring Lake Park lost against Andover back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Huskies 25-20 in the first set.

Spring Lake Park actually scored more points across those five sets (105-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 26-24, 17-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Spring Lake Park's loss came despite strong showings from Hector Ly and Cullen Larson. Ly had 17 assists and eight digs, while Larson had six kills and three digs.

Yulaaj Xeemthao was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 11 digs and four aces.

Spring Lake Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Andover, their record is now 2-0.

Spring Lake Park has already played their next contest (against Park Center), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Andover, they will welcome Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
